The Precise Temperature of Time
This is the video of my most recent design work,
Lighting a piece for UNLV’s Spring 2014 Dance concert “In Flow”
The piece is called “The Precise Temperature of Time” Choreographed by Caine Keenan
Video Lightbox Completed
Below is the video of my completed Video Lightbox. Its taken me a while to get it built, but i think it looks phenomenal. Integrating the wireless router into it was a great choice, as i can put it anywhere and only have to run power. Control is accomplished via its own dedicated wi-fi network.
Video Panel Goes Wireless
Below is a Video of the next step on my LED Video Panel… It will have its own accesspoint so I can control it from my tablet Via WiFi
LED Video panel
I created my own video panel as a pixel mapping experiment
I used WS2811 LED strips, these are digitally addressable RGB strips with 8bit dimming for each pixel
The strips were controlled using Pixel Invaders (http://pixelinvaders.ch/) to generate the effects, which outputs ArtNet to an Arduino Mega with Ethernet Shield then gets converted to SPI and sent to the LED’s.
Below is a video of the strips in use as part of my UNLV scenic design final.
Dont forget to check it out full screen in Full HD! Filmed using my canon T3i
